Lately I feel like I'm becoming more of a creative person. I feel like my brain is constantly going and winding with ideas. Some of the ideas are about decorating or little projects, but in this case it was a party! Who doesnt like a fun party with attention to detail?! So when I found out my sister was pregnant with her 2nd baby I immediatly got excited to throw her a baby shower. I couldnt wait since when she had her first baby I lived up north and didn't get to participate in any of the planning. Sad face. Well, she found out she was having another boy and wasnt sure if she wanted another baby shower. I had heard of sip and see's so I brought the idea up to her instead of a baby shower and she fell in love with the idea. So then comes planning (something im
not GREAT at). I may not have started writing things on my blog yet but I sure did stalk other peoples blogs! I came across so many cute things but finally decided on a colorful candy themed sip and see. The hardest part was definitely the invitations. But with a little hard work, patience and that great place called Fedex/
KinkosOffice. So here are some pictures of the invites and some of the decorations I remembered to take pictures of!
This is the "H" I covered with moss to hang on the door but sadly lost the ribbon that day so it propped up against the wall instead!
I had to liven up the outside so I spent a few hours at the top of a ladder the night before hanging all these beauties up.
Yummy treats and the cute name banner I made from some cheap flashcards!
and no party is complete with out drinks (alcoholic & non alcoholic)
and to add in some of the animal theme from the invite the candy bags and cups for the kiddos
had a lion on them. Great $1 store buy :-)
all in all it was a great party and fun day!
