Dreamy little esacpe

I wonder if I could convince Zach to let me build/have something like this in our backyard?!

Very girly...no masculine touches to make a guy feel better in this place.

I love how everything is white.

I could lay in this bed all day and read a book!

Sandra Foster Cottage

If I have an "escape shed'' then Zach will need one also....... Yeah right, thats why we have a basement! ;-) just kidding honey . Whats mine is yours. You can come in my white cottage whenever you want!

A million miles an hour

Thats how fast my mind is currently spinning with ideas for the house. I honestly don't even remember half of my drive home because I was thinking about so many different things. Sad, but true. Im so excited! I thought I had lost that will, that drive, to do things around the house. But no! It's back. I guess I've just been down in a little slump lately so my creative juices haven't really been flowing. But a little looking around on pinterest and rearranging my living room Sunday was just what I needed :-)

I came up with 2 different "To Do" lists for the house. One list can be classified as a weekend project or less. Ya know painting something or making something. Not huge projects or anything that is going to cost much $$$! The other list is things that a lot of people could very well do in a weekend, but lets not lie, Zach and I usually take a little longer for certain things. Also this list consists of things that will cost slightly more $$$. Saving up for type of projects. I'm a very "I want now!" type of person. Very immpatient. I usually figure out a way to get or do what I have in my mind. Not in a snotty way, just a determined way.

One of the first things I'm going to do is organize our pantry.  Savannah can NEVER find anything in the pantry. Its half her putting no real effort in looking and half it being that big of a mess. Needless to say it's a cluster F right now and I love how nice and neat these ones are that I found on pinterest.

AND painting our table and chairs like this bright yellow. I'm thinking YES!!

maybe bright yellow patio furniture will take the focus off our snake pit  jungle lush back yard! At least I've killed most of the poison ivy. Go me.

Zach's birthday is Monday and I want to have people over for a BBQ to celebrate. I was given some very good advise by a friend on Friday about getting stuff done around the house. I kept saying I never had a party because there was always so much to! He said plan a party and that will light a fire under your ass to get things done! (THANKS Brian) That's totally what I need in order to get stuff moving. NO huge improvements between now and the BBQ (if it goes down) but enough to get me rolling in the right direction. Possibly middle of June or July a bigger fiesta and bigger projects completed.? Maybe.

So heres to getting stuff done and hopefully being able to shut my mind off and fall asleep at a decent hour tonight :-)

Pinterest....ing

So, is anyone else as obsessed with pinterest as I am? I am hooked. It's been about a month and I think its just about the coolest thing since sliced bread. No? People aren't still saying that? OH well. Im getting so much insperation just looking at other peoples pins.

If you dont know what it is, you should check it out. Its a website that allows you to "pin" pictures as you find them on the internet. It saves them to your "boards" on the website and you can go back and look at what you've saved anytime. Like me, im always trying to remember where I saw a picture, or I save it to a computer and email it to myself but then quickly forget about it. You can also browse the thousands of pictures people have already pinned on pinterest and you can pin them to your personal boards!

Only downside, you have to request an invitation to the page, but it usually only takes a couple of days :-)

am I weird for being so oddly obsessed with hanging beds?!

They are just so cool. I will have one....one day
I picked up some paint samples this weekend to do this to one of our dressers. If i'd not joined pinterest I would of never seen this cool idea!

how beautiful is the shower door and walls in this bathroom? Love

Inspiring? I think so!

Weekend finds and fun times

I had an awesome weekend. I got so very lucky this weekend with the garage sales I was able to get to. Poor Savannah was going to cry out in pain if I dragged her to one more garage sale. She was begging me to drop her off at my parents house before I went to anymore. She doesn't understand it yet. Thats ok. In time she will see how much fun it really is!
$5!!! New desk for Savannah's room! love how old school it looks.

$2 Needs cleaning! and paint

FREE! This was given to me by my parents, but it still counts for weekend finds!

$5 we have another one of these very similar......

$5 Pretend this is brass. I was too impatient and immediately spray painted it to put in the office :-)
I also got a really good fake gucci purse I paid $3 for and a Houdini wine opener (just like the $60 one we had that broke last year) for $7!

My total amount spent was $27. Pretty good if I do say so myself.

Savannah was so excited to be down, she had us all cracking up all weekend long at the things she was doing and saying. She's such a fun little girl.

I've been doing quite a lot of fishing lately. Zach has recently jumped into a new hobby, full steam ahead. That hobby is fishing. He's always liked it and fished a little here and there but now its seriously everyday. I think he's transitioning out of his "bowling faze" maybe, maybe not. I do think he went bowling yesterday actually. That boy I tell you. He doesnt know how to do anything "half assed"! haha. That sounds awful me saying that huh? It's actually very cute. He gets so into whatever it is at the moment he has interest in and fully commits! There is no ehh Ill go bowling with my friends and rent a ball and shoes. Nope. That lasted like 2 times. He then got himself a new shiney ball, bowling shoes, a bag, and anything else you need. Now with the fishing I think hes bought something new related to fishing everyday. Its so cute seeing how excited he gets doing these things and how into it he gets. He's so proud of his new cat fishing rod (not gonna even try to lie, its pretty awesome, its lights up and blinks when you have a bite!) and Im excited and happy for him!

Fishing lately (sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures, I never remember to bring my nice camera down to the dock)
My mountain man, its hard to tell but his beard is getting huge!

I look weird. I think I was just excited.

Our friend James Van Der Beek Bob. His first time fishing, caught 5!

Poppy caught a fish!

Wouldn't let him throw it back in until she "touched" it. Not sure she actually made contact! hah

Easter last weekend was fun. It sucked a little because my brother and sister and their families couldnt make it to my parents :-( BUT I made my mama a pretty Easter wreath to cheer her up!
I also tried my hand at cake pops again. I think I made them look a whole lot better this time! Pretty Easter colors.

The kitten is still crazier than ever. Does it make me crazier than ever for wanting another kitten already?! I wish I could of taken a picture of the hubs face lastnight when I asked him if we could get another kitty! Priceless.
They cuddle ;-)
BFF...95% of the time

Savannah LOVEs him! I think she's starting to not believe me when I say his scratches are his way of saying I love you! hah
